Daddy Freeze reacts as Oyedepo allegedly sacks pastors for generating low income



Media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, also known as Daddy Freeze has announced that the Rivers State High Court judgement was obtained in his absence.

Recall that the on-air personality was slammed with N5m by the court for committing adultery with a married woman, Benedicta Elechi, who he claimed was his lover.

Reacting to the judgement which went viral on Friday, Daddy Freeze in a video via his official YouTube channel on Saturday said that he was as surprised as many of his fans when he heard the verdict.

He said,

“Many of you would have been surprised as I was to wake up one morning and see a judgement from a Rivers State high court. Well, guys, I was never served, so the judgement was obtained in my absence.

“So, what do we do, we go straight to the appeal court. A lot of people are unaware that the judgement isn’t final until it gets to the Supreme Court.

“I’m very confident in the judiciary system and I do believe that I will receive a fair judgement.”

A High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on February 18, 2021, ordered Daddy Freeze, to pay the sum of N5m for committing adultery to Paul Odekina, who was still married to Elechi at the time the adulterous act was committed.

In the court documents obtained by one of our correspondents, with the suit no PHC/403MC/2012, Mrs Benedicta Nkemdilim Odekina is the Petitioner/Cross Respondent, while Mr Paul Odekina is 1st Respondent/Cross Petitioner and Ifedayo Olarinde (Freeze) is the Co-Respondent to Petition/Cross Respondent.
