Arise Television’s Morning Show anchor, Rufai Oseni, has taken a swipe at Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, over his remarks celebrating peace in the state, describing the situation as a “peace of the graveyard.”

In a post on his X handle on Saturday, Oseni accused the governor of succumbing to pressure and being subdued in the face of political challenges.

“Fubara is celebrating peace of the grave yard, after he has been bullied and subdued. Peace is better than war he says, play back all his tapes for him,” the broadcast journalist wrote.

Oseni’s comments came in response to a statewide address by Governor Fubara on Friday, where the governor urged citizens to reflect on the past six months, particularly the emergency rule declared by President Bola Tinubu.

In his broadcast, Fubara emphasized the value of peace, stating, “the costliest peace is cheaper than the cheapest war.” He further explained that he had chosen not to contest the constitutionality of the emergency rule, stressing that his cooperation with the federal government was aimed at protecting peace, stability, and progress in Rivers State.
