The Mgbuosimiri community in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, a suburb of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is in mourning following the tragic shooting death of Ndidi Livingstone, the Chairman of their Community Development.
The incident occurred inside a church on Saturday evening, with suspected cultists perpetrating the crime.
According to PM news, the gunmen shot Ndidi Livingstone point-blank as he exited the Peculiar Faith Ministry Church in the Agip axis of Mgboshimni, Mile Four area of Port Harcourt.
The motive behind the killing remains unknown as of the time of this report.
An eyewitness shared, “His killers, driving a black Toyota Highlander Sports Utility Vehicle, waited for him to come out from the church, where he had attended an ongoing church program for January, and shot him several times before driving off.”
Ndidi Livingstone and his wife, Patience, had celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary in July 2023.
On December 21, the late community leader marked his birthday, and on Christmas Boxing Day, December 26, he celebrated his wife’s birthday without any suspicion that it would be their last celebration together.
As of the time of this report, the Rivers Police Command had not issued a response to the tragic incident.
