Pop superstar Rihanna was photographed leaving Los Angeles on Monday, a day after a woman allegedly fired multiple rounds into her Beverly Hills mansion while the singer and her children were inside.

Photographs show bags being loaded into vehicles and driven to Van Nuys Airport before the plane took off Monday afternoon, as the singer chose not to take chances following the terrifying incident at her home.

The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz from Orlando, Florida, has been booked on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the shooting. She is currently in custody with bail set at $10,225,000.

According to police, Ortiz allegedly fired from a vehicle towards Rihanna’s home using an AR-15-style weapon. Assault rifle casings were found at the scene. The suspect’s white Tesla was later located about eight miles from the singer’s home at the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping centre, where she was taken into custody.

Ortiz appears to have been preoccupied with Rihanna for some time, although there is no known link between the two. Posts online show she had been making videos and writing about the singer leading up to the disturbing incident.

Rihanna was inside the mansion at the time, a law enforcement source told the Los Angeles Times, but no one was injured.

The Barbados-born celebrity, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, shares three children with partner A$AP Rocky: sons RZA and Riot, and daughter Rocki, who was born last September. In February 2025, A$AP Rocky was found not guilty of firing a gun at a former friend in a trial that saw Rihanna bring their two sons to court.

The nine-time Grammy winner, who recently celebrated 20 years since the release of her first album, has launched multiple successful businesses including Fenty Beauty and a lingerie company. Forbes estimates her net worth at over one billion dollars.
