Rhythm FM On-Air Personality, Onome Oyaide, popularly called Big Tyme, has reportedly passed away.
The news of his death comes as a shock to his friends, colleagues as well as celebrities in the Nigerian music industry.
Although the cause of death remains unknown, famous singer-songwriter, Darey Art-Alade, mourned Big Tyme in a post on his verified Twitter handle on Sunday.
“An absolute influence on what we now have as of today’s Nigerian Hip Hop and Pop culture.
“A true gooner, music head, a professional broadcaster with a solid voice and an all-around good guy. Happy ascension brother Onome Oyaide aka Big Tyme 🕊 this hurts. Love and light,” Darey wrote.
Big Tyme’s colleague, OAP Osi Suave also posted a condolence message in honour of the late presenter.
Rest well big tyme. I’m glad you lived life and you touched so many while doing it. I’d never forget you my big bro It hurts I won’t lie, it fucking hurts. Sleep with the angels,” Suave wrote.
As of the time of filing this post, Rythm FM has not released a statement concerning the demise of Big Tyme.
