A video of a confrontation involving House of Representatives member Alex Mascot Ikwechegh has gone viral.

It shows an alleged altercation between the lawmaker and an Uber driver.

The incident reportedly occurred when the driver, delivering an item to Ikwechegh’s residence in Maitama, Abuja, asked him to step outside to receive the package.

In the video, the driver recounts how Ikwechegh became visibly angry, allegedly berating and slapping him multiple times, claiming that it was disrespectful to expect him to step out for a delivery.

The video also captures an alleged voice of Ikwechegh threatening the driver, saying, “I can make him disappear… I am not going to give this boy one naira of my money.”

The driver is later seen in his car, shirtless, claiming Ikwechegh had torn his clothes during the encounter.

The incident has sparked reactions across social media, with users expressing outrage and demanding accountability.

HeDontMakeNoise commented, “I will make you disappear and nothing will happen? This could ruin his political career if accountability is applied.”

ChuksOhaxx stated, “God don butter this guy bread… find a good lawyer and sue that man; life-changing opportunity with evidence!”

Seankleann added, “Even if he sues, I doubt the @PoliceNG will deliver justice because he’s just an Uber driver. Watch how the matter would be swept under the carpet.”

MayJaYBaE wrote, “He felt disrespected over something that could have been resolved with a polite request. This is stupid classism.”

PharmaGunner said, “Imagine thinking this country will get better with such people in the House. It’s just disappointing.”

Douglas Jaja jr. commented, “What did you expect the internet to do? Many drivers are rude, and it’s hard to hear their side of the story.”
