Reno Omokri reacts as Kadnua govt. demolishes hotel over alleged nude party

Published

Human rights activist, Reno Omokri, has reacted after the Kaduna State Government demolished a hotel in the state for allegedly holding a sex party.

Recall that the demolition of Asher Hotel which is located in Barnawa, Kaduna South, was announced by the agency in charge of the planning and development of all urban areas in the state via Twitter on Thursday.

Photos of the building (before and after demolition) were also uploaded by the agency via its handle @KASUPDA_KDSG, including a flyer of the alleged sex party which surprisingly had no single address or that of Asher.

However, in a tweet to his 881K followers on Sunday, Omokri questioned the move to demolish the hotel over an alleged sex party.

“Even if there was a ‘sex party’ at a hotel, should you then demolish the hotel? There are so many options. You can fine the owners. Withdraw their license. Seek an order to covert the premises to a #COVID19 isolation centre. Demolishing it is so barbaric and counterproductive,” he said.

IN a subsequent tweet, Omokri revealed seven things the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai “could have done instead of demolishing” the hotel for allegedly holding a sex party:

He said that El-Rufai could “convert it to a #COVID19 isolation centre, make it an almajiri school, use it as a hospital, withdraw their license, auction it, run it as a state hotel and use it as a campus.”
