JENNIFER Lopez claimed that all men are useless before they hit the age of 33– and an expert has said she might not be wrong.
The star, 49, made the bold statement during an episode of Tinder’s Swipe Sessions series, where she swiped left on a man purely due to him being 29.
in a video that’s part of Tinder’s Swipe Sessions, J.Lo came to the rescue of a woman called Brooke, giving her some pointers in what she should be looking for in a partner.
The two women swiped through Brooke’s Tinder options together – and J.Lo didn’t hold back.
When stumbling upon 29-year-old social media manager Maurice, J.Lo said: “Guys, until they’re 33, are really useless.”
Naturally, the people of the Internet didn’t take too kindly to the 48-year-old singer’s advice to Brooke.
One person commented: “Ha! Imagine if a man said women are useless under the age of 30 – they’d bring out the pitchforks and torches wouldn’t they? Hypocrites smh.”
Another wrote: “If a guy said women under 33 are useless the UN would have to intervene and everyone would be appalled. Now it’s just a silly joke. Talk about equality…”
A third said: “What would happen if I said women were useless after 50? I would be killed.”
However, many others were quick to defend J.Lo, with one saying: “So many salty men in the comments section.”
Someone else wrote: “Hahaha J.Lo is amazing <3.”
Referring to the number of dislikes on the video, another person quipped: “2,500 people were men under 33.”
J.Lo also had a look at Brooke’s own dating profile – the description of which simply read ‘Yoga and Wine’ – to make sure it was up to scratch for potential love interests.
That’s when Brooke said she only started dating recently, and admitted she was after a ‘guy’s guy’ to do chores like ‘chop wood’.
Thankfully, J.Lo swooped in to make Brooke think twice about what she just said, asking her: “What do you really need?”
“This is more my kind of guy,” J.Lo then said of one guy – who was incidentally the wood-chopping type.
“He has a baseball hat on. He’s outdoorsy. He looks like he chops wood.”
J.Lo, who recently got engaged to baseball player Alex Rodriguez , 42, was unimpressed by a man who said it wouldn’t work with someone if they didn’t put ketchup in the fridge, but she was eventually won over by some dude called Levi.
