Nigeria’s former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has lamented the escalating insecurity under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Atiku expressed concerns that the frequent killings have become a disturbing norm.

“The failure of Bola Tinubu’s security architecture has now become an endemic nationwide phenomenon with repeated killings, more of which do not even make the headlines,” Atiku tweeted on Friday.

This statement follows the confirmation by Vanguard Fuddang, chairman of the Bokkos Cultural Development Council in Plateau State, of a devastating terrorist attack on five villages, resulting in the loss of 20 lives within a week.

“Nigerians are now being forced to get used to such news of wanton killings, and I again offer my condolences to the bereaved communities of Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State and the affected families,” the former vice president said.

Atiku urged the Tinubu administration to overhaul its security strategy, prioritizing the protection of Nigerian lives and properties.
