Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of ordering the arrest of her elder brother and sister in a bid to force her to return to him and undergo rehabilitation.

In a series of emotional Instagram posts on Monday night, Regina claimed that her siblings were detained on Ned’s orders after she refused to go back to his house.

“Someone please help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind,” she wrote. “My big brother and big sister have been arrested, and my baby sister might be next until I return home and, according to him, return to rehab.”

The actress said the arrests were part of her husband’s attempt to control her, accusing him of spreading lies about her mental state.

“Don’t even get me started on telling the world what you did to me with your stupid rehab talk,” she said. “You said I’m a drug addict. What other name can you call me? But I will speak one day and tell the world everything.”

Confirming her statement, Regina’s brother, Sir Sammy West, posted on Instagram that they were being held at Ogombo Police Station in Lagos. “Dem say na Ned send dem. Currently at Ogombo station,” he wrote.

The incident has sparked reactions from her family, with Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, taking to social media to lash out at the senator.

In a video shared online by another of Regina’s brothers, Sweezy, Rita accused Ned of using his influence to silence her children and claimed he only married Regina to revive his public image.

“You wanted someone with a high star to boost your fallen star,” she said. “If you think you can bite the finger that fed you, you’ll go down. My daughter supported your senatorial election with $10,000. We’ve been covering you up and making you feel like an Odogwu.”

The conflict between the actress and the Delta North senator comes days after a viral video showed Regina in distress, claiming she suffered domestic violence in their marriage.

In his earlier response, Ned Nwoko had alleged that Regina was struggling with drug and alcohol abuse and had shown violent behaviour at home. He said his insistence on rehabilitation was only to help her recover.
