Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, on Wednesday, received over a thousand defecting members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jos, Plateau State.

This was contained in the post and pictures shared on the Twitter handle of Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara.

The defectors from the major opposition party in the country were welcomed to the ruling All Progressives Congress by Speaker Dogara and the party’s National chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun.

The Speaker who told the defectors that the APC was built on foundation of justice, reiterated that the party is working hard to transform the country. He assured Nigerians that the current administration is sincere and would not let the people down.
