The former girlfriend of American rapper Future, Brittni Mealy, has asked a court to jail the music star for allegedly failing to comply with a court order concerning their 12-year-old son, Prince.
Court documents obtained by TMZ indicate that Mealy claims the rapper has not provided a $500,000 life insurance policy as mandated by a judge in 2023.
Under the terms of the agreement, Mealy is designated as the trustee of the policy, responsible for managing it for their son’s benefit.
As a result, Mealy is requesting the court to hold Future in contempt and urges that he remain in jail until he proves that the insurance policy has been secured.
The dispute comes in the wake of a 2023 ruling that raised Future’s child support payments from $3,000 to $5,000 per month.
While the rapper has not publicly responded to the latest legal filing, the case highlights ongoing tension between the two regarding their financial obligations to their child.
