Scottish Premiership Champions, Rangers, have reached an agreement with Manchester United for the loan signing of winger, Amad Diallo.

The Ivorian sensation will join the defending champions until the remainder of the season without an option to sign permanently.

Respected Italian sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday.

“Amad Diallo’s set to join Rangers on straight loan from Manchester United. Agreement reached on a six-month moan and there’s no buy option included, the Italian tweeted.

Romano added that interim manager, “Ralf Rangnick approved this move, to be completed and signed in the next hours. Here we go soon.”

United signed the Ivorian for £37million on a five-year contract with the option of an extra year.

The 19-year-old has only featured nine times for the Red Devils, with three starts and one goal in 12 months.

Diallo scored a brace on his debut for the Under-23s, in a 6–3 win over Liverpool on 30 January.

He made his first-team debut for United as a substitute for Mason Greenwood in a 4–0 away win over Real Sociedad in the first leg of the Europa League round of 32 tie 18 February 2021.

His first goal for United came on 11 March, in a 1–1 home draw against AC Milan in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 tie.

Diallo will be hoping to get more playing time and experience at the Ibrox when he joins Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side.
