Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) warns motorists against over speeding in this rainy season.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has cautioned motorists against over speeding during the rainy season in order to avoid road crashes.

Mr. Olusegun Aladenika who is the FRSC Unit Commander in Ore, Ondo State, gave the warning while speaking with Newsmen on Thursday in Ore.

Aladenika also advised motorists to avoid using worn-out tyres, ensure vehicle wipers were functional, headlamps and rear lights working perfectly.

Overall, he said, they should also ensure that their vehicles were in good order before putting them on the road.

“We all know that the rainy season is here which makes the road to be slippery; so we are cautioning motorists against over speeding during this season.

“We are saying all these to avoid careless road crashes which result in loss of lives and property,” the unit commander said.

He, then, urged motorists to comply with all traffic rules and regulations, adding that the corps personnel are on the road to check excesses of motorists.
