Elsie, wife of popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Bright Okpocha, aka Basketmouth, has berated David Adeleke, aka Davido, over his scathing attack on the Nigerian music industry.
WuzupNigeria earlier reported how the award winning Afrobeat singer had disclosed that he was aware that stakeholders in the Nigerian music industry has little or no regard for him.
His allegation came in the wake of his historic achievement as the first African to feature in FIFA official soundtrack for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Davido made the statement after a fan asked why his colleagues in the industry were yet to congratulate him for being a member of the crew who composed the World Cup song for Qatar 2022.
Piqued by the alleged snub, the father of three proceeded to click the unfollow button to ease out many of his colleagues including Wizkid and Burna Boy.
Further check on his Instagram page revealed that he has also unfollowed Yemi Alade, Patoranking and 2baba.
Reacting to his post, Elsie Okpocha said; “Someone said the entire music industry is against Davido, people will just wake up and just tweet rubbish, God forbid!
“People didn’t post his World Cup song and the conclusion is nobody loves him???
“Do you know the problems people are facing in this God’s forsaken country???
“When last did you buy diesel??? Did you hear people were robbed and killed recently?
“Did you hear about the people that drowned because they were running from bandits??
“Did you hear our lives are going to be made more miserable when the collection of the Ikoyi toll starts?
“Do you know the amount of a paint bucket of crayfish now?
“Please I beg you, don’t be unfortunate.”
