Sportswear brand PUMA has signed a deal with the Premier League to become its Official Ball Supplier from the 2025/26 season.

The agreement, announced on Monday, means PUMA will take over from Nike, which has been the league’s ball supplier for more than 20 years.

PUMA’s CEO, Arne Freundt, described the deal as a big step for the company in strengthening its presence in global football.

“The agreement with the Premier League, the most-watched football league in the world, is an important step in PUMA’s brand elevation strategy,” Freundt said. “With PUMA’s ball at the centre of attention during every match, we will create unforgettable moments for players and fans alike.”

The company also plans to work with the Premier League on grassroots football programs, marketing campaigns, and events such as the Premier League Summer Series in the United States.

Richard Masters, the Chief Executive of the Premier League, welcomed PUMA as the league’s new partner.

“We are delighted to be welcoming PUMA as the Official Ball Supplier of the Premier League,” Masters said. “Their global reach and commitment to excellence align with our values, and we look forward to working together to inspire fans worldwide.”

The Premier League is watched in over 900 million homes across 189 countries, making it one of the most visible platforms in global sports.

PUMA already sponsors Premier League club Manchester City and individual players such as Jack Grealish, Kai Havertz, and James Maddison.

With this new deal, PUMA strengthens its position in top football, ensuring its brand is at the heart of the world’s most-watched league.
