The Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, has been seen making efforts to mend the rift between the Psquare brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye.
A new video and pictures of Obi visiting Peter Okoye’s mansion have surfaced on social media.
Earlier, Peter Obi had visited both Paul Okoye and their older brother, Jude Okoye, to address their ongoing family feud.
The tension between the twins, who are known collectively as Psquare, became public when Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, accused Paul Okoye of conspiring with their elder brother Jude to marginalize him.
Peter Okoye had previously denied allegations that he used the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to target Paul.
He said his focus was on uncovering the truth about a secret company, Northside Music, allegedly owned by Jude and his wife, Ifeoma.
Popular blogger Tunde Ednut shared photos and a video of Obi at Peter Okoye’s home, praising the politician’s attempt to reconcile the brothers.
Ednut wrote, “Kudos to Peter Obi for his efforts. It’s clear that he’s trying to help mend the ongoing feud between the twins and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.” He also remarked on the opulence of Peter Okoye’s home, saying, “Omo, but see this Peter House sha!!! Ah ah…. These Psquare guys are rich forever, I swear. Them invest well, no worry. See house.”
The conflict between Peter and Paul Okoye, who once put aside their differences, has resurfaced. Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, had accused Peter of using the EFCC to arrest him and claimed that most of their songs were written by him.
In response, Peter Okoye denied these claims and said that he had also contributed to songwriting. He further accused Paul of belittling him.
Peter Obi’s visit to the Okoye brothers marks a new effort to address their issues and bring them together.
Photos and videos from the visit show Obi at Peter Okoye’s residence, engaging in discussions with the twins.
