Paris Saint-Germain’s coach Luis Enrique acknowledges the need to prepare for the potential departure of the France captain this summer.
Luis Enrique commented, stating, “Sooner or later, when it happens, we have to get used to playing without Kylian. When I want to play him, I will, when I don’t, I won’t.”
Recall that Wuzup Nigeria reported that Mbappé informed PSG of his intention to leave when his contract expires this summer. He is currently in talks with Real Madrid, who are optimistic about securing the striker.
This marks the first time the manager has addressed the links between Mbappé and a potential exit from PSG, where he has played for the last six years.
During a news conference on Feb. 16, Luis Enrique refrained from commenting on the matter, stating, “I am going to try to bring this topic to an end. I don’t have any comments to make. When both parties speak, I will give my opinion.”
Mbappé boasts 21 goals in 21 Ligue 1 appearances this season, along with four goals in seven Champions League games.
PSG is set to face struggling Monaco on Friday before the second leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie with Real Sociedad on March 5, where they hold a 2-0 lead.
