The Police Service Commission has clarified that it has not yet officially announced any examination date for applicants in the ongoing recruitment of Nigerian youths into the Constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force.
In a statement by Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations, applicants are urged to disregard dates circulating on social media platforms. Ani emphasized that the Commission will announce the examination date and notify successful applicants from the screening exercise in due course.
The PSC has directed the Police Cyber-crime Unit to investigate the source of the trending publication and apprehend the culprits swiftly for prosecution.
“Applicants are advised to exercise patience and await the Commission’s official statement on the date for the examination.
“The date will also be formally communicated to shortlisted applicants who were successful from the screening exercise,” the statement partly read.
The statement reassures that the Commission remains committed to ensuring the integrity of the recruitment process and preventing it from being exploited by criminal elements seeking to defraud Nigerian youths.
