The #EndBadGovernance protest continues as demonstrators blocked the NNPC Refinery Junction in Akpajo Eleme, Port Harcourt, on Monday.

This is the fifth day of nationwide protests against poor governance.

President Bola Tinubu addressed the protesters on Sunday, but the crowd in Port Harcourt remains unsatisfied and was twice as large as the previous day according to Channels news.

The protesters split into two groups: one group blocked the road to the NNPC Refinery Eleme, causing traffic jams for hours.

The protesters are demanding changes from the government. They want control over the state’s natural resources and more job opportunities.

A spokesperson for the protesters said, “The President did not address our demands. We want our voices heard, and we will keep protesting until the government responds.”

Another group of protesters moved through the town and faced some disruptions. Some individuals damaged a traffic control cubicle at the JDB roundabout on Odili Road, Port Harcourt.

Thankfully, security forces managed to keep the situation under control and prevent further damage.

Traffic was heavily affected as motorists used green leaves to show support for the protesters. The demonstrators have vowed to continue their protest until their demands are met.
