The Police in Lagos State have arrested a self-acclaimed prophet over alleged sexual assault.
Lagos police spokesman, Bala Elkana, on Sunday in a statement, said Prophet David Daniel allegedly assaulted a trader, Joy Muriyaro, after claiming God sent him to her.
The ‘man of God’ was said to have masturbated while robbing anointing oil on Muriyaro’s naked body.
Muriyaro reported the matter at the Ejigbo Police Station on Tuesday, September 17.
Daniel was said to have told Muriyaro that he saw in a vision that the woman was having a spiritual problem and would have fibroid growth in her womb in the future.
He subsequently collected N3,500 cash and a bottle of perfume worth N1000 from her for spiritual cleansing, Mr Elkana said.
The woman stated further that the suspect followed her to her house and ordered her to remove her clothes for him to rob anointing oil on her buttocks.
“He collected N3,000 cash from her and a bottle of perfume worth N1,000 for spiritual cleansing. She stated further that the suspect followed her to her house and ordered her to remove her clothes for him to rob anointing oil on her buttocks.
“She became apprehensive when she noticed that the suspect was masturbating when robbing the anointing oil on her buttocks. The Suspect was arrested and charged to Court for indecent assault and remanded in Kirikiri Prison,” Elkana said.
