President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Brasília, the capital of Brazil, on Sunday for an official State visit at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
The visit, according to Olusegun Dada, a presidential aide on social media, is set to span two days and will feature a series of high-level bilateral engagements, a Nigeria–Brazil Business Forum with top investors, and the signing of critical agreements and Memoranda of Understanding aimed at boosting cooperation across several sectors.
Dada disclosed that the core objective of President Tinubu’s visit is to unlock multi-billion-dollar agricultural investments, push forward collaborative efforts like the $1.1 billion Green Imperative mechanisation programme, and attract fresh inflows of foreign direct investment into Nigeria’s agriculture and energy sectors.
He added that the engagements would also concentrate on enhancing political trust, expanding cultural partnerships, and exploring joint opportunities in areas such as renewable energy, climate adaptation, and digital innovation.
