The president must hear this! Kemi Olunloyo launches #SayNoToDataHike campaign

Self-acclaimed international journalist and rights activist, Kemi Olunloyo has launched a campaign against the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) directive to telcos to increase data tariff.

She launched the campaign on her Instagram page on Wednesday. She urged Nigerians to make sure they recharge their data today, November 30 and boycott any form of data recharge starting from Monday, December 1, when the hike would start.

She called on everyone to join her campaign until the president hears and does something about it.

Olunloyo wrote:

#BREAKING #HNNTV© #HNNTech #KemiOlunloyo asks all Nigerians to BOYCOTT the #internet December 1st 2016»»the official WORST DAY EVER in #Nigeria not the day Abiola’s election was annulled or the day Murtala Mohammed was assassinated. It is tomorrow. I have gotten calls from #Nollywood #Mavin artistes even #CharlyBoy just got off the phone with me. All the industry needs the internet to thrive, tweet their work, reach audiences.

We will fight this. We can reverse it later. I’m ready to testify in front of the #Senate. I am the most famous Nigerian woman on the internet. Wikipedia says I’m “known for gun rights and #socialmedia “. I USE MORE INTERNET THAN MOST OF YOU. It will affect the 7 USA TV news websites I write for and of course my blog @HNNAfrica #HNNImpact.
