Ahead of tomorrow’s parliamentary seats rerun elections in Rivers State, President Muhammadu Buhari moments ago pleaded with all political parties, candidates and the people of Rivers to ensure that the election takes place without rigging and violence.
The President made the call through his official Twitter handle, @MBuhari, using the platform to charge INEC to do all within its powers to give transparency and fairness to the electoral exercise in Rivers State.

This came as the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, urged his members and loyalists to resist any act of violence from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State, just as Governor Nyesom Wike told the Inspector General of Police , IGP, Mr. Ibrahim Idris that his life had been in danger since the sudden withdrawal of his Chief Security Officer, CSO, by the Police hierarchy.
