A Nigerian woman came under attack in a commercial bus recently. Her crime – she paid the fare of her two kids in order for them to sit comfortably in the bus.
The incident caused a mild drama in the moving bus as some men in the bus condemned the mom for ‘spoiling’ the kids and insisted that that’s not the proper way to prepare the kids for future hardship.
A social media user share a video of the incident which showed some of the passengers critising the woman and condemning her action.
It was gathered that the mom had boarded the bus and paid for three seats for herself and her two children, but her action got two men infuriated and they descended on her for “spoiling“ the kids.
According to them, she should have told the kids to sit on her laps or ask other passengers to help her put them on their laps instead of making them have a seat to themselves.
They claimed her action was disrespectful because some older people couldn’t get a seat in the bus and the children should have been told to stand up for them.
In the footage, the woman did not respond to her critics.
