Prayers not enough to save Nigerians from insecurity, says Omah Lay

Nigerian Afrobeats star Omah Lay has stated that prayers alone are not enough to address the country’s worsening insecurity, urging citizens to take active steps toward meaningful change.

In a post shared on his social media platforms, the “Soso” singer emphasised that Nigerians must rise, act, and demand solutions to the deepening crisis.

“NO JESUS, NO ALLAH, NO PRAYER IS SAVING US. NOTHING CHANGES UNTIL WE WAKE TF UP 🇳🇬,” Omah Lay wrote, stressing that action must accompany faith.

The artist’s statement comes amid a week marked by violent incidents, including the attack on Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Kwara State, and the abduction of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi, incidents that have heightened the nation’s sense of insecurity and urgency for change.
