Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant in Ondo, Banji Okunomo, has called for prayers for Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The governor tested positive for coronavirusย early this week.
In a statement on Thursday, Okunomo wished Akeredolu speedy recovery.
He stressed that COVID-19 was real and urged Nigerians to adhere strictly to the NCDC guidelines of NCDC and obey all precautionary measures.
The aspirant said notwithstanding political affiliations, โI sympathise with Akeredoluโ.

He prayed for Godโs healing and urged the people โto pray fervently for the governorโs quick recoveryโ.
Okunomo advised those that had contact with him to go for a test and self-isolate.
โCOVID-19 is not a death sentence, if detected early and treated on time,โ Okunomo added.
