Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has announced a ₦500,000 reward for anyone who apprehends his lookalike allegedly performing his songs without permission.
The “Zazuu” crooner disclosed this in a video shared on his Instagram page.
In the video, which has since circulated widely on social media, Portable appealed to members of the public, as well as security agencies including the police and soldiers, to help locate the alleged impersonator.
He explained that while copying his hairstyle, dressing, or overall appearance is acceptable, performing his songs without authorisation amounts to fraud.
According to him, the songs being performed are officially released on streaming platforms such as Apple Music and belong solely to him.
The singer further emphasised that the lookalike is not promoting original work but is exploiting his music for personal financial gain.
Portable stated that anyone caught performing his songs should be arrested and brought to him, assuring that he would personally pay the promised ₦500,000 reward.
“Good morning everyone, police and soldier. If you see my lookalike performing my song on stage, arrest him and bring him to me,” he said.
This is not the first time Portable has raised concerns over impersonation. In September 2025, he reacted strongly to videos of a lookalike performing his songs at events, alleging that the impersonator was collecting bookings for as little as ₦250,000, far below his reported performance fee of over ₦10 million.
At the time, the singer urged fans to “beat him up,” warning that such acts mislead audiences and negatively impact his earnings.
The latest video indicates that Portable remains determined to protect his brand and income from impersonators.
