Controversial singer Portable has announced his latest collaborative project with rapper Odumodublvck, titled “Stay Wacko”.
The song was teased by Portable in an Instagram post on Friday, where he shared a snippet of the track.
Starmusiq, one of Portable’s signees, also gave fans a sneak peek into the making of the song by posting a video on social media. “Stay Wacko, Odumodublvck ft Portable coming soon,” he wrote on Instagram.
According to screenshots of their conversation, Odumodublvck initiated the collaboration by reaching out to Portable. The rapper addressed the singer as “ore mi,” which means “my friend” in Yoruba. “Ore mi, Gbedu de o,” Odumodublvck wrote. Portable responded by asking how the collaboration would work and showing his enthusiasm for the project. “How he go be. Make I send my Gmail?” Portable asked.
Portable rose to fame in December 2021 with his hit single ‘Zazoo Zeh,’ featuring Olamide and Poco Lee. Since then, he has remained in the public eye for various reasons. Odumodublvck, on the other hand, is known for his unique stage performance and genre-mix style. He signed a record deal with NATIVE Records, in partnership with Def Jam Recordings, in 2022 and has released several chart-topping singles, including ‘Picanto’ and ‘Declan Rice’.
