Controversial singer, Badmus Okikiola, better known as Portable, defeated fellow entertainer, Darlington Okoye, also called Speed Darlington, in a celebrity boxing fight held in Lagos.
The event, tagged “Chaos in the Ring”, took place on Saturday morning at the Balmoral Events Centre and ended with Portable winning by technical knockout.
During the heated match, both celebrities exchanged several punches before Portable eventually overpowered Speed Darlington, who reportedly injured his right wrist.
The fight followed weeks of online quarrels between the two artistes. Their beef started when Speed Darlington allegedly offered Portable ₦500,000 to perform at his show—an amount Portable found insulting.
“You’re using my name to promote your show and offering ₦500k? I don’t roll with poor people,” Portable said in a viral video.
Speed Darlington, angered by the rejection, responded with insults and accused Portable of dragging his family into the matter.
Tensions boiled over at the weigh-in, where both men nearly started fighting before the main event. Portable bragged about his strength, while Speed Darlington replied with confidence.
“I’ll finish you. Let’s go now! I’ve done it before—I beat Charles Okocha, and I’ll do it again,” Darlington said.
However, the outcome didn’t favour him as Portable dominated the ring, winning the match and proving his strength in front of cheering fans.
