Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly challenged celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest to a boxing match, proposing a prize of N100 million.
In a video circulating on social media, Portable, who recently defeated Speed Darlington in a celebrity boxing event, expressed his interest in facing Chief Priest in the ring.
He made it clear that the challenge was not rooted in animosity but purely as a business move to generate income.
“Hello ladiës and gentlemen, na money I dey look for, I wan fight for money. Chiefpriest is who I want to fight with. Igbo man sabi business, Igbo kwenu. I want to fight Chiefpriest. I want to be fighting big people, I am bigger than Chief Priest. Help me call Chief Priest, he is my fan and brother,” Portable declared.
He added, “I want to fight him because he has money. Chiefpriest, did you learn boxing? I want to fight, no be sey I get you for mind. I want to cash money, make we make money together. Them wire me money, also wire you money. I want to fight Chief Priest N100 million.”
According to the singer, his motivation lies in seeking opportunities to earn more money by fighting high-profile figures, whom he described as “big people.” He also stated that he sees himself as a bigger personality than the Chief Priest.
This challenge comes on the heels of Portable’s recent victory over Speed Darlington, which sparked widespread celebrations among his supporters. Following the bout, Speed Darlington demanded a rematch, accusing Portable of using “black magic” to secure the win—an allegation that was met with silence from the Zazu crooner.
Reports from Portable’s circle suggest that he was credited with N20 million by Afrobeat star Burna Boy after defeating Speed Darlington. The gesture was allegedly tied to past tensions between Burna Boy and Speedy, who had previously made derogatory remarks about the “Odogwu” singer.
Despite his controversial public persona and legal troubles, Portable continues to command attention both in and out of the music scene, using his notoriety to venture into unconventional promotions and money-making stunts such as celebrity boxing.
