Ace broadcaster and presenter, Dan Foster better known as ‘The Big Dawg’ is dead.

Dan Foster was said to have reportedly died of COVID-19.

Before his death, Foster had worked with Cool FM, Inspiration FM, City FM and Classic FM.

As at the time of this report, cause of his death is yet to be confirmed but reports which have gone viral claim he died of the deadly coronavirus.

Foster worked with numerous radio stations including Cathy Hughes Radio One, Mix 106.5 both in America, and Virgin Island-based WTBN, before moving to Nigeria in 2000 where he joined Cool FM and catching Nigerian listeners.

In 2001, he received an award for Best Radio Presenter of the year. He also won 2003, 2004, and 2005 Nigeria Media Merit Awards for ‘Best Radio Personality’.

Foster has also been recognised by the City People Awards: a respected organisation is known for recognising outstanding individuals who have touched the lives of citizens in the community, they have named him “Media Person of the year” in 2004 and again in 2005.

Another radio host, Dotun has taken to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to mourn the passing away of Mr Foster, confirming that the legendary radio personality is dead.

Dotun tweeted:

“Oh Dan Foster… you gave me the strength to do this and even more. This is really painful.“
