Hours into his purported sack, embattled Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, has described the ruling of the Federal High Court in Abuja as 'jungle justice that was purchased.'

Umahi, who addressed a press conference at the new Government House in Abakaliki immediately after the court's verdict, declared that he remains the de facto governor of the State.

WuzupNigeria has earlier reported how a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday sent Umahi, his deputy, Eric Igwe; Speaker of Ebonyi State Assembly, Francis Nwifuru and 17 other lawmakers packing over their defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

In the judgement delivered, Justice Inyang Ekwo held that their defection was unconstitutional.

Reacting to the ruling, a defiant Umahi had described the ruling as a procured verdict that does not project the Judiciary in good light.
