A former Deputy Chairman of the Delta State chapter of All Progressives Congress, Elvis Ayomanor, has been expelled for alleged anti-party activities.

Following a recommendation by the Ward Disciplinary Committee, Ayomanor's expulsion was ratified during an emergency meeting of the party's Executive Committee.

The executive committee of the party in the Sapele Ward 7, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State noted that the decision was in line with Article 21, Paragraph B (i) of the APC Constitution (as amended).

A letter expelling the former party leader was unanimously endorsed by the Chairman and 25 other members of the Ward executive.

The letter read in part, “Upon receipt of the decision of the Disciplinary Committee, which was transmitted to the Executive Committee of the APC for Sapele Ward 7, vide a letter dated 13th September 2021, an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the APC for Sapele Ward 7, was held today, 14th September 2021, at the Party Ward Secretariat and after properly reviewing the report/decision of the Disciplinary Committee, we the members of the Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress for Sapele Ward 7, hereby ratify the decision of the Disciplinary Committee expelling Mr Elvis Ayomanor from the APC. Accordingly, Mr Elvis Ayomanor stands expelled.”
