A video of some Nigerian Policemen beating a motorcyclist in Nnewi, Anambra State surfaced online recently.
Onyebuchi Prosper, a social media user who shared the video said the policemen asked one of the men being beaten in the video for N5,000 because he didn’t have a drivers license.
When the man allegedly refused to pay, he incurred the wrath of the policemen and was beaten as shown in the video footage.
Prosper said the incident happened on April 25, 2017 and he would have also received such a beating since he didn’t have a drivers licence and he was riding a bike too. However, he said he was able to negotiate down to N1000 which he promptly paid and was spared,
He said he posted the video so that justice can be done by the concerned authority.
“I decided to share this video because the guy did nothing please I’m asking the officer in charge the CPS Police Station Nnewi and the Commissioner of police Anambra State to look into the matter,” he added.
