Police woman reportedly shoots Sowore
Nigerian activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowere, has reportedly been shot by a female police officer.
The Sahara Reporters founder was reportedly shot by a female police officer at the Unity Fountain in Abuja, a human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, wrote on Twitter.
He added that the 50-year-old sustained injuries and has been rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
Effiong wrote:
“The criminal officer is said to be an ACP. I watched Sowore being shot live on Facebook.
“This is what Nigeria has been turned into under Buhari. They’ve declared war on the Civic Space.”
