The Police Service Commission has instructed successful candidates from the 2022 police recruitment to begin their training tomorrow, Saturday, August 10, 2024.

The training will take place at various police colleges across Nigeria and will continue until August 20, 2024.

The Head of Press and Public Relations for the PSC, Ikechukwu Ani, released a statement saying, “Candidates who confirmed their status on the police recruitment portal, [https://apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng](https://apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng), are expected to report for training. The names of these candidates have already been sent to the management of the colleges.”

Ani also noted, “The previous portal, www.policeservicecommission.cloud, where names were initially released, has been closed. We agreed that the original portal should be used throughout the recruitment process to ensure fairness and inclusivity.”

Candidates whose names are on the agreed portal or who received an official invitation are the only ones permitted to join the training. “Messages are being sent to successful candidates, including Specialists who will start training between September 28 and October 10, 2024,” the statement added.

PSC Chairman Hashimu Argungu, a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, urged candidates to report to their assigned colleges on the exact dates given. He said, “We will continue to monitor their progress to ensure they are fully prepared to serve the nation and help fight banditry and terrorism.”
