A Nigerian man has narrated his hilarious encounter with a police officer who arrested him for being in possession of Indian hemp, but to his surprise, the police officer was also into drugs.
He said after tongue lashing him and ordering him to get into the patrol van, the police officer collected the Indian hemp from him, lit it and started smoking in his presence.
The man shared the hilarious story on his Twitter handle while responding to a similar tweet by another Nigerian @fidsss who had shared his encounter with a police officer who arrested him for being out too late in Abuja.
Their responses were prompted by a tweet from a Nigerian man who was lamenting the state at which Nigerians now flaunt cannabis on the social media,
@Sir_Fin wrote on Twitter,
“On twitter you’d sometimes forget cannabis is illegal in Nigeria.”
In response to the tweet, @Fidsss wrote,
“Real life in Nigeria too bro. Police arrested me for “being out too late” one night in Gwarimpa. Entire ride to the police station, the police man driving was using his knees to control the steering wheel so he could roll his joint. I shit you not.”
@Sarutobi then shared his own experience and wrote,
“Your own better. Still got capped Sunday night and my lighter feel out when they were searching my pockets . Man just said so you dey smoke Igbo abi , gave one mad slap told me to enter Moto then proceeded to light the blunt that fell with the lighter , I was so appalled guyy”
