The Nigeria Police Force has reiterated its dedication to staying ahead of criminal elements through intelligence-driven strategies, strengthened inter-agency cooperation, and active community engagement.
In a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police disclosed the arrest of eight high-profile suspects and the recovery of arms and fabricated weapons in Kaduna State.
According to Adejobi, operatives initiated a rescue operation following the abduction of one Hussaini Ibrahim from Jagindi Tasha Village in Jema’a Local Government Area. The operation reportedly compelled the abductors to abandon the victim in a nearby forest, leading to his successful rescue.
“Investigations led to the arrest of four suspects; Umar Yusuf Jabiri of Jagindi Tasha, Buhari Muhammad, a.k.a. ‘General’ of Bayya village, Ahmadu Nasiru of Gidan Waya and Zakari Saleh who were directly connected with the abduction,” he stated.
Recovered items included one AK-47 rifle and two locally fabricated AK-47 rifles. The police spokesperson also urged members of the public to stay alert, share timely information, and continue supporting law enforcement efforts to combat crime and maintain public safety.
