Five-time Balloon d’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly under investigation for a possible OCVID-19 breach in the city of Aosta over a ski trip.

According to Italian news agency ANSA, Ronaldo took a trip to Courmayeur earlier this week with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez to celebrate her 27th birthday and local police are snooping for breach of Italy’s regulations.

Sky Sports report that trips to Val d’Aosta are not permitted under current COVID-19 restrictions in Italy, as the region is in medium-to-high risk orange zone.

The restriction, however, is not bounding on people who own a second home in orange zones but it is unknown whether the former Real Madrid star owns one.

Meanwhile, the Juventus forward did not take part in the Old Lady’s 4-0 trashing of SPAL during Wednesday’s Coppa Italia game after a decision by Andre Pirlo to rest him.

Ronaldo is currently the top goalscorer in Serie A with 15 goals followed by Lazio’s Ciro Immobile (13), Inter’s Romelu Lukaku and AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic tie on 12 goals while Atalanta’s Luis Muriel is fifth with 11 goals.
