The circumstances surrounding the inspector’s decision to end his life remain unclear. However, residents of Layin Bayan, Wulari Jerusalem area of Maiduguri, raised concerns on Saturday morning upon noticing an unusual odor emanating from his locked apartment.

“It was early this morning when people in the compound noticed a strange smell coming from his apartment; his door was locked from the inside,” revealed a source.
