The Lagos State Police Command has assured residents and motorists of their safety amid reports of a planned disruption on the Third Mainland Bridge.
In a statement on Monday, October 27, 2025, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, said the police were aware of the messages circulating about a possible protest around the Oworonshoki end of the bridge.
He said the Command had taken proactive steps to prevent any breakdown of law and order across the state.
“The Command wishes to assure the public that adequate security measures have been put in place to maintain law and order across the state,” Adebisi said.
He added that officers have been deployed to protect lives and property, as well as ensure the smooth movement of vehicles on the bridge.
Residents were urged to go about their normal activities and cooperate with security personnel performing their duties.
Adebisi noted that the Command remains committed to ensuring peace and preventing any action that could cause unrest in Lagos.
