The Ogun State Police Command has declared Habeeb Olalomi, popularly known as “Portable,” wanted for allegedly assaulting officials of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development during an enforcement exercise in Ota.
The police confirmed that the controversial singer led a group of nine armed men to attack government workers, inflicting injuries on three officials—Onabanjo Abidemi, Raymond Lateef, and Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi.
While the nine accomplices have been arrested, Portable reportedly fled the scene and has been evading law enforcement ever since.
According to a statement by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Omolola Odutola, the police have now obtained a court order to officially declare Portable wanted.
“Multiple formal invitations were sent to him, requesting his presence at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, which he deliberately ignored without cause or legal representation,” the statement read.
The police warned that anyone found aiding or harbouring the singer would face legal consequences. They also urged the public to provide any relevant information that could lead to his arrest.
