The Nigeria Police Force has issued a public declaration seeking the arrest of Dorcas Adeyinka, a Lagos socialite and blogger, on charges including cyber-stalking, abduction, and murder.

Describing her as a married Yoruba blogger from Ekiti State and Ibadan, Oyo State, the police urged the public to apprehend and hand her over to the nearest police station or the office of the IGP Monitoring Unit in Abuja.

Adeyinka, approximately 1.64m tall with distinctive features such as tribal marks, a pointed nose, wide mouth, full and white dentition, and light skin with black eyes, is known to reside in the United Kingdom while frequently visiting various locations in Lagos and Ogun States.

This declaration comes amidst a legal battle involving Adeyinka and two social media users, Tolulope Adeoye and Tolulope Odegbami, who were summoned by a Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, for allegedly defaming Adeyinka by sharing her nude photo online.

The court ordered the defendants to appear on June 4, 2024, following a criminal complaint filed by Adeyinka’s lawyers, accusing them of sharing her nude photo on social media and subjecting her to ridicule.

The complainant’s legal team, led by Pelumi Olajengbesi of the Law Corridor law firm in Abuja, argued that the defendants’ actions constituted criminal defamation under Section 391 of the Penal Code.

In response, the magistrate ordered the complainant to serve the defendants with criminal summons and all subsequent court processes via their social media handles.
