Police confirm Naira Marley’s arrest
Police authorities in Lagos State have arrested Afrobeats star Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, in connection with the death of his former record label signee, Mohbad.
Lagos police command spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin said late Tuesday that Marley was taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities.
“Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities,” Lagos police command spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin said late Tuesday
Hundeyin did not provide any further details about the arrest or the nature of the investigation.
Mohbad, whose real name is Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, died on September 12 under mysterious circumstances. He was buried the next day.
Some fans had accused Marley and members of Marlian Records, including Sam Larry, of being responsible for Mohbad’s death.
