The Nigeria Police Force has announced that the autopsy procedure for Mohbad, the Nigerian singer who died on September 12, 2023, has been successfully completed.

The police said further information will be provided as soon as the results are available.

The force made the announcement in a statement on its X (formerly Twitter) verified account on Thursday.

“Mohbad: Autopsy Update. The Nigeria Police Force wishes to inform the public that the autopsy procedure for Mr. Mohbad has been successfully completed. Further information will be provided as soon as the results are available.  #Justice4mobhad,” the statement read

Recall that WuzupNigeria reports that the exhumation of Mohbad’s body was carried out under tight security, with a heavy presence of police personnel noticed around the vicinity of the spot where he was buried

The autopsy was ordered by the police following the sudden and mysterious death of the singer. Mohbad’s death sparked protests and outrage among his fans and the Nigerian public, who demanded to know the cause of his death.

The police have said they are investigating all possible angles in Mohbad’s death, including foul play.

The autopsy results are expected to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
