The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two teenagers for allegedly sexually molesting minors in the Tilde Fulani community of Toro Local Government Area.

Police spokesperson Nafiu Habib disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, detailing that the case began with a report on January 8, 2026, from a father whose 8-year-old son was deceived with sweets and tiger nuts by a 16-year-old suspect, Mohammed Saifullahi.

According to the statement, Saifullahi “subsequently had homosexual intercourse with him on multiple occasions.”

Upon receiving the report, detectives were dispatched, the suspect was arrested, and the victim was taken for a medical examination.

During interrogation, Saifullahi confessed to engaging in the act for over three years and named his mentor as 17-year-old Shaibu Sulaiman, who was also arrested.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Sulaiman introduced Saifullahi to the activity, which reportedly began when they shared a bed. It was further discovered that Saifullahi had sexually violated four other minors between the ages of 7 and 10.

The PPRO stated that both suspects have confessed, and an investigation is ongoing. They will be profiled and charged to court upon its completion.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, condemned the act and warned others to desist, emphasising that anyone arrested will face the law. He also urged parents and guardians to monitor their children’s whereabouts closely.
