Rivers State Police Command has said a suspected cult leader simply identified as Christian, along with his girlfriend has been arrested in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
The suspect said to be the leader of a notorious cult group, Vikings, was nabbed in the Mile one axis of the capital where he had lodged with his girlfriend.
Four pistols were recovered from the suspect and a police source who did not want his name mentioned said the command had is in the trail of other fleeing members.
When contacted, the spokesman for the state command, Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the arrest to The PUNCH.
“Yes, I can confirm the arrest and we are still investigating. I will not want to give further details for now so that we don’t jeopardize our investigation,” Omoni stated.
