The Federal Capital Territory Police Command announced the arrest of a notorious ‘one chance’ gang, comprising a couple, who had been involved in a series of robberies within the FCT and its environs.
The suspects, identified as Chukwudi Okorie (51), Chibuzor Okorie (43), and Esther Gabriel (51), were apprehended on Wednesday by operatives from the Utako Police Divisional Headquarters.
According to the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josphenie Adeh, wthe suspects confessed during interrogation to being involved in several ‘one chance’ activities in the region.
Adeh stated, “The suspects confessed during interrogation to have carried out series of one chance related activities in the FCT before their apprehension.”
The police were able to recover a blue Mazda car with registration number FCT 590 EV, which was identified as the operational vehicle used by the syndicate to carry out their criminal activities.
Adeh confirmed, “An operational vehicle used by the syndicate to perpetrate their heinous acts was recovered from one of the suspects.”
While the investigation is ongoing to apprehend any additional accomplices, Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Haruna G. Garba, expressed his unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and peace of the FCT.
He urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities through police emergency lines.
