The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested four suspected armed robbers and recovered a stolen vehicle, according to a statement released on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramhan Nansel.
The suspects, identified as Salim Hussaini, Abdulkadir Musa, and Dimas Danja, were apprehended by police operatives attached to the Mararaba ‘A’ Division. Another suspect, Mohammed Aliyu Abubakar, was arrested in the New Karu area.
During the operation, the police recovered a fabricated rifle, a knife, and criminal charms from the first three suspects. Additionally, a blue Toyota Camry with registration number RBC 980 DA was recovered from Abubakar, who is a resident of the Mabushi area of Abuja.
DSP Nansel stated, “The suspects have confessed to being part of a gang of armed robbers terrorizing the Mararaba area and its surroundings.”
The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has urged the owner of the recovered vehicle to visit the New Karu Area Command with proof of ownership to claim their vehicle.
This arrest comes as part of the Nasarawa State Police’s ongoing efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety of residents in the state.
